Checkout Additional Information

Overview

This Checkout Additional information extension for Magento 2 allows the customer to enter additional contact delivery information, it also helps merchants and storeowner to collect extra delivery information for the customer, which leads to the smooth completion of orders. When the customers proceed to checkout and choose the shipping method, checkout additional information form appears on the checkout page, where the customer is asked to enter his first name, last name, additional contact number and order instruction. These checkout additional fields are not mandatory to fill customer can leave them blank, go to payment step and can place the order.

Once the customer placed an order with the additional information, admin can view the information in a particular sales order and can use this information in order delivery. The checkout additional information columns; first name, last name, alternate phone number and order instructions are available in order grid, admin can sort sales orders by these mentioned fields. Moreover, admin can also filter the sales orders by last name, first name, alternate phone and order instruction.

In this way, this extension provides an ease to store owners and customers in communicating with each other in times of sudden urgencies
